ABC is sticking with Last Man Standing. Deadline reports the network has renewed the Tim Allen sitcom for a sixth season.
Yesterday, we reported that ABC has also renewed Last Man Standing‘s Friday night companion, Dr. Ken, for a second season.
The renewal news isn’t that much of a surprise. Earlier, Allen tweeted that ABC was interested in a sixth season of the family comedy, which also stars Amanda Fuller, Christoph Sanders, Flynn Morrison, and Hector Elizondo.
Season five of Last Man Standing held steady in the ratings, earning an average of 1.21 in the 18-49 demo and 6.743 million viewers. Comparatively, season four averaged a 1.27 rating in the 18-49 demo, with total of 6.85 million viewers.
ABC confirmed the renewal on Twitter today:
