Law & Order: SVU viewers will see Kelli Giddish return to the NBC series again before this season ends. Deadline revealed that the actress, who plays former SVU detective Amanda Rollins-Carisi, will appear in episode 11 of the current 25th season. This season of SVU will have just 13 episodes due to delays caused by the industry strikes of 2023.
Mariska Hargitay, Ice-T, Peter Scanavino, and Octavio Pisano star in the long-running NBC series, which follows Olivia Benson (Hargitay) and her team of detectives from the New York City Special Victims Unit.
Giddish departed Law & Order: Special Victims Unit during the 24th season, but she has returned for guest appearances twice since then. In the 24th season, Amanda married Dominick “Sonny” Carisi (Scanavino) and retired from the NYPD to become an adjunct professor in criminal behavior at Fordham University. In the premiere for season 25, Amanda stopped by to talk with Olivia and celebrate the birth of her first child with Carisi.
No details about this upcoming appearance were revealed.
What do you think? Are you excited to hear about Giddish’s return? Do you want her to return to Law & Order: SVU full-time?
