It’s official. Deadline reports CBS has confirmed the cancellation of their freshman series Limitless.
Based on the 2011 film, the series starred Jake McDorman, Jennifer Carpenter, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Hill Harper, and Colin Salmon.
Last week, we reported the drama was cancelled after CBS didn’t include it in their 2016-2017 programming lineup. Then, network chief Glenn Geller said the series was being shopped to other networks, but it looks as if plans failed to develop.
Ratings for the show’s first season were decent but low when compared to CBS’ other primetime series. Season one averaged a 1.34 in the 18-49 demo, with a total of 7.049 million viewers.
