AMC says, “Through the Lodge and his newfound connection with the other members, Dud will come to find the missing sense of purpose in his life and confront his deepest fears and greatest hopes.”

“Dud is a layered, complex, and fascinating character who embodies hope and futility, comedy and tragedy, and the fragility of life,” said Joel Stillerman, President of Original Programming and Development for AMC and SundanceTV. “Wyatt brings the nuance, warmth and depth to this loveable [sic] and iconic character, and we’re thrilled to have him.”

Other key characters featured in Lodge 49 include Liz Dudley, Dud’s twin sister and Ernie Fontaine, a long-time lodge member who welcomes him into this mysterious new world. When AMC adds to the cast, we will let you know.

The son of Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, Russell mostly works in film. However, he currently plays Cooper in Black Mirror on Netflix. He has also appeared on Law & Order: LA and Arrested Development, as well as three webisodes of The Walking Dead.

You can catch Russel in the upcoming feature films Shimmer Lake, Ingrid Goes West, and Table 19.
