Do you watch MacGyver? The CBS TV series is gearing up for its season one finale, which airs tonight, April 14th, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The show has already been renewed for a second season, but will you watch?
A reboot of the classic ’80s show, the action drama centers on a twenty-something adventurer named Angus “Mac” MacGyver (Lucas Till) who creates a secret organization within the US government. The cast also includes George Eads, Sandrine Holt, Tristin Mays, and Justin Hires.
Recently, star Tristin Mays teased the upcoming season finale to The Wrap. In the interview, she revealed the finale provides a “wake up call” for her character that may influence her future in season two:
I think that she needs to kind of be ready for what’s to come. This season finale gives her a wake up call … For her future, some more training, maybe some weapons.
My character gets very bloody. And you’ll have to watch the show to find out exactly what that means.”
Though the series has already been renewed, the ratings have been dropping over the course of the season. In late March, the program hit a series low with a 0.9 demo rating and 6.56 million viewers. Clearly, some people have stopped watching MacGyver. Are you one of them?
