What’s your favorite Mike & Molly moment? The cast of the now-cancelled CBS sitcom got together at NBC’s recent tribute to TV director James Burrows and discussed what they’ll be doing to commemorate the end of the series.
Mike & Molly is currently in the middle of its sixth and finale season. The sitcom, which stars Melissa McCarthy and Billy Gardell, was cancelled by CBS in December.
During the tribute, Jane Lynch asked the cast if they’ll be doing anything special when the series ends this year. Gardell said the cast was just trying to make it through the last episode as best they could:
We’re just trying to get through it because we have that same sense of family. We do. We get teared up. … We’re just kind of huddling together like we have since the beginning.”
Earlier, we posted both Gardell’s and McCarthy’s immediate reactions to the series’ cancellation. McCarthy tweeted that she’ll miss her second family.

There’s no word yet on when CBS will air the remaining episodes of Mike & Molly’s final season.
