Is there hope for another season of Million Dollar Mile? Deadline reports the producers of the CBS TV show hope international versions will lead to a season two renewal.
Hosted by Tim Tebow, the athletic competition series follows contestants as they attempt the obstacle course dubbed the “Million Dollar Mile” for the chance to win (you guessed it!) $1,000,000.
Season one of Million Dollar Mile wrapped in August and CBS still hasn’t announced a season two renewal. So what are the chances it will return? Executive producer Rich Meehan told Deadline the upcoming French and German versions of the series should boost the chances of a renewal:
When you look at how the show performed on its first two episodes, the midweek airings, in relation to shows that aired in the spring and summer, it was an upper/middle rated show, when you compare it to shows that were successes over the course of the summer. We’re going to wait to see how the show does internationally and then we’ll have a follow up call with CBS about all of these positives about the show.”
