While the Modern Family TV show lost some momentum in the Nielsen ratings race last year, it still remains a top-five scripted performer for ABC. After The Middle ended with season nine, some fans expected Modern Family to be the next long-running sitcom to exit the airwaves. Shortly before the tenth season kicked off though, the Alphabet Network revealed it has been in ongoing talks with 20th Century Fox to continue the story. Does season 10 seem like the right time to end it, or should this TV series have a big, full season-long send-off? Will Modern Family be renewed for season 11? Stay tuned. **Status update below.
