No Tomorrow: Cancelled; CW Passes on Second Season

No Tomorrow TV show on The CW: canceled, no season 2 (canceled or renewed?)

It’s finally official. The No Tomorrow TV show has been cancelled. There will be no tomorrow and no season two on The CW. The series stars Tori Anderson as Evie Covington and Joshua Sasse as Xavier Holliday. The No Tomorrow season one and now series finale aired on January 17, 2017, and the cancellation has been expected for quite some time.

A rom-com fantasy, No Tomorrow centers on Type-A Evie, who starts to look at her life and the world differently, thanks to the free-spirited Xavier. He believes an asteroid will destroy the world in eight months, so he lives his life to its fullest. The CW cast includes Jesse Rath, Amy Pietz, Jonathan Langdon, and Sarayu Blue.

No Tomorrow: A Look at the Ratings

The first and only season of No Tomorrow averaged a 0.26 in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic and drew an average total audience of 794,000, so the cancellation makes sense. The comedy series was consistently among The CW’s lowest rated TV shows.

Variety and Deadline have confirmed that along with No Tomorrow, The CW has also cancelled Frequency. Details here.

Back in January, CW exec. Mark Pedowitz said that if the shows were cancelled, the network would provide closure for them, in the form of digital tagd, for each series.

What do you think? Did you watch the first season of the No Tomorrow TV series? Should The CW have cancelled or renewed it for a second season?
