The Shelby family is in for a little shakeup. The BBC has released a photo of cast member Sam Clafin, who is new to the fifth season of the Peaky Blinders TV show on Netflix and BBC One. Clafin isn’t the only cast member new to the series. Joining along with him are Anna Taylor-Joy, Brian Gleeson. Neil Maskell, Kate Dickie, Cosmo Jarvis, Emmett J Scanlan, Elliot Cowan, Charlene McKenna, Andrew Koji, and Daryl McCormack.
A Netflix historical crime drama, Peaky Blinders stars Cillian Murphy, Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Sophie Rundle, Finn Cole, Kate Phillips, Natasha O’Keeffe, Aidan Gillen, Jack Rowan, Charlie Murphy, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Harry Kirton, Packy Lee, Ned Dennehy, Ian Peck, and Benjamin Zephaniah. The early 20th Century skein unfolds in Birmingham, England, where boss Tommy Shelby (Murphy) led the “Peaky Blinders” gang. The fifth season kicks off in 1929. With the world in upheaval from the stock market crash, both misery and opportunities abound. When Tommy Shelby MP is approached by a “charismatic politician (Clafic) with a bold vision for Britain,” it is clear his decisions will affect not just his own family, but the country as a whole.
