Good news for Preacher fans. Deadline reports AMC has renewed the TV series for a third season.
Based on the comic book by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, the supernatural comedic drama follows a West Texas preacher, Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that causes him to develop a highly unusual power. The cast also includes Ruth Negga and Joseph Gilgun.
On Twitter, executive producer Seth Rogen announced AMC has indeed greenlit a third season of Preacher. The show will return in 2018.
