None of Freeform’s current programs get the kind of Nielsen ratings that Pretty Little Liars earned, so it’s no wonder the former ABC Family cable network brought back I. Marlene King to adapt another Sara Shepherd book series, and turned it into a PLL spinoff — the Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists TV show. Will it be able to draw in both fans of the original and some new viewers, too? Will Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
A Freeform mystery drama, Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists stars Sasha Pieterse, Janel Parrish, Sofia Carson, Sydney Park, Eli Brown, Kelly Rutherford, Hayley Erin, Graeme Thomas King, Chris Mason, Noah Gray-Cabey, and Evan Bittencourt. The crime thriller unfolds at Beacon Heights University and the surrounding town, and centers on three over-achieving students, friends Ava (Carson), Caitlin (Park), and Dylan (Brown) — known as the Perfectionists. After the first-ever murder in Beacon Heights, although they work together to solve the mystery, each Perfectionist hides behind “a secret, a lie, and an alibi.”
Below are the show’s TV ratings, typically the best way to tell if the series will be cancelled or renewed. These figures will be updated as the weeks progress.
