Queen of the South will continue to reign. Deadline reports USA Network has renewed the TV show for a third season.
The drama stars Alice Braga as Teresa Mendoza, a woman on the run from a powerful drug cartel who seeks refuge in the U.S. The cast also includes Veronica Falcón, Hemky Madera, James Martinez, Joaquim de Almeida, Gerardo Taracena, Peter Gadiot, Carlos Gomez, Mark Consuelos, Rafael Amaya, and Jon-Michael Ecker.
Queen of the South has been one of USA Network’s top-rated TV shows for its past two seasons. Currently, season two is averaging a .38 rating in the 18-49 demo and 1.118 million viewers. Season three is expected to premiere in 2018.
The season two finale of Queen of the South premieres on USA Network on August 31st at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
