The Royals: Season Four Ratings

The Royals TV show on E!: season 4 ratings (canceled or renewed season 5?)

Despite declining ratings each season, E! has continued to renew The Royals TV show, when it might have been cancelled on other networks. As the cabler’s first foray into scripted fare, they have given this primetime soap opera every chance. After production was done on the fourth season though, they fired creator Mark Schwahn, in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations. How that ultimately affects this low-rated show’s fate remains to be seen and likely depends on the ratings in the fourth season. Will The Royals be cancelled or renewed for season five? Stay tuned. *Status update below.

A scripted drama, The Royals stars Elizabeth Hurley, William Moseley, Alexandra Park, Jake Maskall, Tom Austen, Genevieve Gaunt, and Max Brown. The E! Entertainment TV series centers on a fictional British royal family, in modern day London. They inhabit a world of opulence that caters to their every desire, but one that also comes with a price tag of duty, destiny, and intense public scrutiny.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
