POP ANNOUNCES “SCHITT’S CREEK” SEASON THREE RENEWAL AHEAD OF ITS SEASON TWO PREMIERE ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 16

Acclaimed Scripted Comedy Series Co-Created and Written By Eugene and Daniel Levy Will Return With 13 New Episodes in 2017

LOS ANGELES – March 3, 2016 – Everything is coming up “Roses” for Pop as the network announces the third season renewal of the highly acclaimed scripted comedy series SCHITT’S CREEK, two weeks ahead of the show’s season two television premiere on Wednesday, March 16 at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT.

Recently called “one of the best new TV shows of 2015” (Los Angeles Times), SCHITT’S CREEK is a fish-out-of-water character-driven comedy that follows the once wealthy Rose family—played by Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, Daniel Levy and Annie Murphy—who suddenly find themselves broke and living in Schitt’s Creek, a small, depressing town they once bought as a joke. SCHITT’S CREEK was the most watched Pop original series in 2015 among viewers (P2+) and delivered more younger viewers (A18-34) than any other original program on the network.

“The audience and critical reception we have received for ‘Schitt’s Creek’ has been beyond expectations, and we are excited to reward our fans with 13 additional episodes in season three,” said Brad Schwartz, President of Pop. “In the upcoming season two, the character and the comedy reaches for bold new heights, and we can’t wait to see where this extraordinary cast and award-worthy performances goes next.”

Co-created and written by father-son team Eugene and Daniel Levy, who also star in the series, SCHITT’S CREEK will bring back the show’s beloved ensemble cast in season three, including Catherine O’Hara, Chris Elliott, Annie Murphy, Emily Hampshire and Jennifer Robertson.

SCHITT’S CREEK is commissioned by CBC, produced by Not A Real Company Productions Inc. and created by Eugene Levy and Daniel Levy. The executive producers are Eugene Levy, Daniel Levy, Andrew Barnsley, Kevin White, Fred Levy, and Ben Feigin. SCHITT’S CREEK is distributed internationally by ITV Studios Global Entertainment.
