Zach Braff & Donald Faison: Scrubs TV show on NBC: cancelled or renewed?

Get me to Sacred Heart, stat! Recently a fan on Twitter asked Scrubs star Zach Braff if he has considered revisiting the popular hospital sitcom. Scrubs was cancelled by NBC in 2008, without a real TV series finale. Because the show was produced by ABC Studios, ABC picked up the eighth season, so creator Bill Lawrence could give the show a proper sendoff. ABC even renewed the sitcom for a ninth and final season, but by then the original cast had largely moved on.

Braff posted a video in reply in response to the fan’s tweet. In it, the actor indicates he and his former colleagues talk about reviving Scrubs every once in a while. In short, Braff is game. Scrubs also starred Donald Faison, John C. McGinley, Ken Jenkins, Sarah Chalke, Neil Flynn, Judy Reyes, Robert Maschio, Sam Lloyd, Aloma Wright, and Christa Miller. Check out Braff’s full video response, after the jump.

Zach Braff Would Do a Scrubs TV Show Revival

In case you can’t watch the video right now, here is a transcription of Zach Braff’s response.

Hi, Mario. Uh, you never know about making more Scrubs episodes. It’s something we all talk about — especially now that all these people are going back and doing like Netflix versions of their shows. I’m very jealous of all this Gilmore Girls attention and Full House. So, uh, we talk about it every now and then. Um so you never know. It could happen. I’d do it.

What do you think? Are you a Scrubs fan? Would you watch a Scrubs TV series revival? Finally, would you like to see it on network TV or do you think it would work better on a streaming platform, like Netflix? Let us know, below.
