What’s This TV Show About?   

Airing on the ABC television network, Secrets and Lies follows Detective Andrea Cornell (Juliette Lewis), as she investigates murder cases.  Season two revolves around a smart and educated named Eric Warner (Michael Ealy) who attends a party to honor his dad. His father is handing over the reins of the family company. Tragedy strikes when Eric’s wife, Kate (Jordana Brewster), is found dead. Life, as Eric knows it, is over. Cornell immediately sets her sights on the grieving husband. As Eric Warner battles to prove his innocence and save the family’s company, he discovers that his beloved Kate and the rest of his family are not who they appeared to be. The cast also includes Mekia Cox, Charlie Barnett, Kenny Johnson, Terry O’Quinn, and AnnaLynne McCord.

 

Season Two Ratings  

The second season of Secrets and Lies averaged a 0.76 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.26 million viewers. Compared to the first season, that’s down 49% in the demo and down by 42% in viewership. Learn how Secrets and Lies stacks up against the other ABC TV shows.

 

 

Telly’s Take  

The low-rated Secrets and Lies is looking like a tasty treat to this voracious vulture. In January, ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey said that ABC is unlikely to pick up Secrets and Lies season three. Since a network exec said that much, this early, she is most probably setting expectations. I’m leaving my perch and will start to circle this series. Although Dungey said she loves the show, I expect the network will cancel Secrets and Lies after two seasons.
