Will there be a third season of Secrets & Lies? ABC boss Channing Dungey recently discussed the future of the anthology TV series, Deadline reports.
The crime drama follows Detective Andrea Cornell (Juliette Lewis) as she investigates a new murder mystery each season. The season two cast included Michael Ealy, Jordana Brewster, Mekia Cox, Charlie Barnett, Kenny Johnson, Terry O’Quinn, and AnnaLynne McCord.
Speaking to reporters at this week’s Television Critics Association press tour, Dungey said a season three of Secrets & Lies is unlikely:
I love Secrets & Lies, but I think it’s probably less likely (for the show to come back). The bummer for me is, I actually held it for the fall. When I stepped into this role and saw the creative, I actually thought it was really strong and I said, we should hold it til the fall and give it the best opportunity. I wish that it had been last year in the season. It was off the air for too long to have held its audience.”
Season two of the ABC drama, which ended in December, earned an average rating of .76 in the 18-49 demo and a total of only 3.260 million viewers. For comparison, season one received an average rating of 1.50 in the 18-49 demo and a total of 5.66 million viewers.

I am going to quit watching any ABC shows. Everytime you get into a really great show, (like Secrets and Lies) they cancel it. It was a great show. Good writers with awesome plots. Shame on ABC for not bringing it back.
Please bring back secrets and lies I believe that it is worthy of a third season I really enjoyed watching it kept me on the edge of my seat and in suspense through every episode

I truly believe the show is worthy of a 3rd season.
I am very disappointed in tje decision to end such a wonderful intriguing show such as secrets and lies. It seems as though every time we get a gteat show with grest actor’s it gets canceled but the corny comedy and meaningless shows get to keep their slot. I absolutely think you need to bring the 3rd season back !
Secrets and lies was left with a cliff hanger and should be brought back. I do not think the advertising was strong enough. I never missed an episode for either season. I would like to see it come back.
