Siren TV show on Freeform: season 2 ratings (canceled or renewed season 3?)

Last year, the freshman installment of the Siren TV show was a top performer for Freeform. It ranked first in terms of total audience size and third, when sorted by Freeform TV series’ demo ratings. Now that it’s back for a second season, will its ratings prompt the cable network to fish or cut bait? Will Siren be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned. **Status update below.

A Freeform mystery thriller, Siren stars Alex Roe, Eline Powell, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Ian Verdun, and Rena Owen. The drama is set in Bristol Cove, a small fishing village which, according to the lore, was once home to mermaids. When the legend proves to be true, the battle begins between humans and these predatory creatures.

For comparisons: The first season of Siren on Freeform averaged a 0.23 rating in the 18-49 year-old demographic and 661,000 total viewers.
