FX has given an early season two renewal to its Snowfall TV show. The 1980s cocaine drama just premiered on July 5th. Episode 1.06, “A Long Time Coming,” airs tonight at 10:00pm ET/PT.
An FX period crime series, Snowfall stars Damson Idris, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Carter Hudson, Emily Rios, Michael Hyatt, Amin Joseph, Angela Lewis, Isaiah John, Juan Javier Cárdenas, Alon Moni Aboutboul, Malcolm Mays, and Filipe Valle Costa. The story kicks off in 1983 Los Angeles, at the dawn of the crack cocaine epidemic.

Snowfall Picked Up For Second Season on FX

LOS ANGELES – August 9, 2017 – Snowfall has been renewed for a second season, it was announced today by Eric Schrier and Nick Grad, Presidents of Original Programming, FX Networks and FX Productions. The drama about the start of the crack epidemic in Los Angeles will return to FX for its second season in 2018.
Snowfall is averaging 5 million Total Viewers across all linear and non-linear (VOD / streaming) platforms.
Snowfall’s series debut ranks in the Top 5 in most key demos among all new cable drama premieres in 2017 on a Live+7 basis: Adults 18-49 (#4), Adults 18-34 (#4) and Adults 25-54 (#5). The premiere ranks #8 in Total Viewers.
Furthermore, among 98 cable scripted drama series to date in 2017, Season 1 currently ranks #9 in Men 18-49 and Men 18-34, and #10 in Adults 18-49.
Created by John Singleton & Eric Amadio and Dave Andron, Snowfall is executive produced by Singleton, Amadio, Andron, Thomas Schlamme, Michael London and Trevor Engelson. Andron serves as showrunner.
Los Angeles 1983. A storm is coming and its name is crack. Snowfall is a one-hour drama set against the infancy of the crack cocaine epidemic and its ultimate radical impact on the culture as we know it. The story follows numerous characters on a violent collision course, including: Franklin Saint (Damson Idris), young street entrepreneur on a quest for power; Gustavo “El Oso” Zapata (Sergio Peris-Mencheta), a Mexican wrestler caught up in a power struggle within a crime family; Teddy McDonald (Carter Hudson), a CIA operative running from a dark past who begins an off-book operation to fund the Nicaraguan Contras and Lucia Villanueva (Emily Rios), the self-possessed daughter of a Mexican crime lord.
