Although the third season of Disney XD’s Star Vs. The Forces of Evil TV show doesn’t premiere until fall, fans don’t have to wait that long for more adventures with Princess Star Butterfly. A two-hour Star vs. The Forces of Evil movie event premieres on Disney XD on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11:00am, 2:00pm, and 7:00 p.m. EDT.

In Star Vs. The Forces of Evil: “The Battle for Mewni,” Star (Eden Shur) will return to her own dimension, where magic is disappearing, to save her family. The Disney XD voice cast also includes: Adam McArthur, Alan Tudyk, Jeffrey Tambor, Nia Vardalos, Artt Butler, and Jenny Slate.

‘STAR VS. THE FORCES OF EVIL’ TWO-HOUR TV MOVIE EVENT TO PREMIERE SATURDAY, JULY 15

— Season Three of the Annie Award-Nominated Series Set to Debut This Fall —

A special two-hour “Star vs. The Forces of Evil” TV movie event will premiere SATURDAY, JULY 15 (11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. EDT), on Disney XD, and will be available to verified users on the Disney XD app and Disney XD VOD platforms.

Titled “The Battle for Mewni,” the TV movie follows Star as she returns to her home dimension of Mewni where she discovers that magic is disappearing throughout the kingdom. Star must dig deep and challenge archnemesis Ludo in an effort to save her family and kingdom.

Season three of the fan-favorite and Annie Award-nominated series is slated to debut this fall.

“Star vs. The Forces of Evil” is an animated comedy adventure that follows fiercely awesome teen princess Star Butterfly. After receiving an all-powerful magic wand for her 14th birthday, Star is sent by her Royal Parents to live with the Diaz family on Earth, bringing along her own unique interdimensional style to her new home. Together with the Diaz’s teenage son Marco, they navigate high school and embark on dimension-hopping adventures across the multiverse while keeping her wand out of the clutches of evil.

Created and executive produced by Daron Nefcy, “Star vs. The Forces of Evil” stars Eden Sher (“The Middle“) as Star Butterfly, Adam McArthur (“Star Wars: The Clone Wars“) as Marco Diaz; Alan Tudyk (Broadway’s “Spamalot”) as Ludo and King Butterfly; Jeffrey Tambor (“Transparent“) as Glossaryck; Nia Vardalos (“My Big Fat Greek Wedding”) as Mrs. Diaz; Artt Butler (“Her”) as Mr. Diaz; and Jenny Slate (“Parks and Recreation“) as Pony Head.
