Star Wars Rebels: Disney XD Season Two with Sarah Michelle Gellar

Star Wars Rebels TV show season 2

Since Buffy the Vampire Slayer bowed in May, 2003, there has been a dearth of Sarah Michelle Gellar on our TVs. First, she came back in dual roles on Ringer, which was cancelled after one season. Next, she teamed up with the late, great Robin Williams in The Crazy Ones, which was also cancelled after season one. This time, Sarah is working with a high power: a potent potion mixed with one part Star Wars franchise, and one part of the magical world of Disney.

Joining her husband Freddie Prinze Jr., Vanessa Marshall, Steve Blum, Taylor Gray, and Tiya Sircar, Gellar will give voice to an Imperial Inquisitor: the Seventh Sister, on Disney XD‘s Star Wars Rebels. Since the animated series was renewed for this second season, before the first season aired, it seems Gellar has chosen well. Below, watch Sarah discuss her role, her love of the Star Wars franchise, and of course, she gives a very Buffy shout-out to her nemeses, the female heroines of Star Wars Rebels. Star Wars Rebels season two premieres on Disney XD, October 14, 2015 at 9:30pm ET/PT.

What do you think? Did you watch season one of Star Wars Rebels on Disney XD? Now that Gellar is aboard (as a villain, no less) will you watch season two?
