Suits: Season Seven Renewal Coming? Creator Signs Two Year Deal

Suits TV show on USA Network

Suits will return to USA Network next week with the second half of season five, but could fans see a renewal for season seven before season six even airs? That is likely with the new deal the creator of Suits just signed.

According to Deadline, Aaron Korsh signed a new two-year contract with UCP this week. Jeff Wachtel, President & Chief Content Officer at NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment, spoke about the new deal, and he said, “Aaron has one of the most distinctive writing voices I’ve ever heard. From the first episode, Suits was a winner. It’s great to have Aaron in our UCP family.”

Korsh also shared his excitement about the new deal with UCP. He said, “UCP and USA changed my career by taking a chance on me, and I couldn’t be happier to extend my relationship with the most collaborative Studio and Network I’ve ever been with. Plus, they gave me a new parking space. Which is nice.”

Korsh also teased the return of Suits, which is set for January 27. Fans will finally see the consequences of the action Harvey and Mike took five years ago. Harvey has quit his job, and Mike has been arrested for fraud. The last six episodes of season five will feature big changes.

Korsh said:

“I am tremendously excited about these next episodes as we are finally going to see Mike and Harvey face the consequences of the choice they made five years ago. Everyone will be affected — and when it’s over, none of our characters’ lives will ever be the same again.”
