Supergirl is losing one of their leaders. Deadline reports co-creator Ali Adler is leaving the CW TV show and joining the network’s upcoming Dynasty reboot.

Adler co-created Supergirl with fellow executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg. The DC Comics drama revolves around Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), who is enlisted by a super-secret agency to help protect the citizens of Earth from evil forces. The cast also includes Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, David Harewood, Floriana Lima, and Chris Wood.

Now, after two seasons, Adler is leaving Supergirl for a new deal with CBS TV Studios. As part of the deal, she will develop new projects and consult on The CW‘s new series Dynasty, a reboot of the 1980s primetime soap.

From executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the revival “follows two of America’s wealthiest families, the Carringtons and the Colbys, as they feud for control over their fortune and their children.” The cast includes Alan Dale, Elizabeth Gillies, Nathalie Kelley, Robert Christopher Riley, Grant Show, and Sam Adegoke.

Dynasty premiers on The CW on October 11th at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
