Floriana Lima is headed to National City. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress will star in season two of The CW’s Supergirl.
Lima has previously appeared in the ABC series The Family, Allegiance, and The Mob Doctor.
On Supergirl, she’ll play Maggie Sawyer, “a detective for the National City Police Department who takes a special interest in the cases involving aliens.” The character of Maggie Sawyer was first introduced in the DC Comics in 1987 and was revealed as gay in later Superman comics. Jill Teed played Sawyer in Smallville.
Season two of Supergirl premieres on October 10th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
