Is Supergirl getting a new villain? Deadline reports Odette Annable has joined season three of the CW TV series.
The DC Comics drama revolves around Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), who is sent to Earth as a child and raised as a human. The cast also includes Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, David Harewood, Floriana Lima, and Chris Wood.
In season three, Annable will play Reign, an enemy of Supergirl who plans on conquering Earth. Reign will reportedly be the main villain for the new season of Supergirl, which is slated to begin this fall on The CW.
From executive producer Andrew Kreisberg:
Greg (Berlanti) and I have wanted to work with Odette for years. We are beyond excited to have her join our cast in the scary, powerful and heartbreaking role of Reign.”
