Supernatural: Season 13 Ratings

Supernatural TV show on The CW: season 13 ratings (cancel renew season 14?)

As though laboring under a curse, in its early seasons on The WB and The CW, the Supernatural TV show seemed in perpetual danger of being cancelled. After 12 years of their characters living (and dying and resurrecting) hard, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles have honed in on Supernatural‘s 300th episode as their next milestone — one which would take them halfway into a 14th installment. With the potential spin-off, Wayward Sisters, set to debut as a backdoor pilot during this 13th season, can this long-running series perform well enough in the Nielsen ratings to get them there? Will Supernatural end with lucky 13, or will their ’67 black Impala, Baby, steer them safely to a season 14 renewal? Stay tuned. ***

A paranormal horror drama, season 13 of Supernatural stars Jared Padaldecki and Jensen Ackles as Sam and Dean Winchester. The CW cast also includes Misha Collins, Mark Pellegrino, and Alexander Calvert. This year, guest stars include Samantha Smith, Kim Rhodes, Briana Buckmaster, Kathryn Newton, Katherine Ramdeen, Loretta Devine, Clark Backo, Yadira Guevara-Prip, Christian Keyes, Chelsey Reist, Keith Szarabajka, and Jeffrey Vincent Parise.

The 13th season of Supernatural kicks off immediately after the events of the season 12 finale, in which Crowley (Mark Sheppard) sacrificed himself, and Lucifer (Pellegrino) killed Castiel (Collins), before disappearing into a dimensional rift with the Winchester brothers’ mother, Mary (Smith). In the wake of the newest Nephilim’s birth, Sam and Dean have to figure out how to deal with the young, powerful Jack (Calvert), while Mary must survive life in the breach with his father, Lucifer. Additionally, this season of Supernatural will also include an animated episode featuring Scooby-Doo.
