The Abandons has added more to its cast. The upcoming Netflix series, from Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy), is set in 1850s Oregon and will star Gillian Anderson (The Crown) and Leana Headey (Game of Thrones).
Nick Robinson, Diana Silvers, Lucas Till, Lamar Johnson, Aisling Franciosi, and Natalia del Riego are joining the action drama series, which will “explore that fine line between survival and law” in the old West. Netflix ordered The Abandons in October 2022.
The story follows a group of families as they live their lives and pursue life, land, and power. Anderson will play Constance, the matriarch of a wealthy family who, despite the town’s bias against women, formed a powerful web of allies through money, charm, and ruthlessness. Headey will play Fiona, a devout matriarch.
