The Handmaid’s Tale has some new company. Recently, Hulu announced both Christopher Meloni and Elizabeth Reaser have joined the TV show’s upcoming third season.
Based on the novel by Margaret Atwood, the drama series takes place in a dystopian society where women are considered sexual property. The cast includes Elisabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Max Minghella, Madeline Brewer, Ann Dowd, O-T Fagbenle, Amanda Brugel, and Alexis Bledel.
On The Handmaid’s Tale, Meloni will be playing Commander Winslow, “a powerful and magnetic Commander who hosts the Waterfords on an important trip” and Reaser has been cast as Mrs. Winslow, who becomes a friend of Serena Joy.
Hulu has not yet announced a premiere date for season three.
