The Hunting Party from JJ Bailey is headed to NBC. The network announced the drama series order on Wednesday.
Bailey signed an exclusive deal with Universal Television in 2022 to develop and produce projects across all platforms, with Hunting Party first on the list. He developed the show with The Endgame co-creator Jake Coburn. Bailey previously created two projects that went to pilot at NBC.
Bailey wrote The Hunting Party’s pilot, and he and Coburn will serve as writers/co-showrunners on the series.
NBC revealed the following about the plot of the new drama:
A high-concept crime procedural about a small team of investigators who are assembled to track down and capture the most dangerous killers our country has ever seen, all of whom have just escaped from a top-secret prison that’s not supposed to exist.
The premiere date and cast for The Hunting Party will be announced later.
