The Night Shift: Finale Info Released; Should the NBC Series End?

Will season four be the last for The Night Shift? NBC has released new details for the upcoming season finale, but will the episode be a series finale?

The medical drama follows the emergency room staff of a San Antonio hospital. The cast includes Robert Bailey Jr., Eoin Macken, Jill Flint, Brendan Fehr, Scott Wolf, Tanaya Beatty, and JR Lemon.

Based on the ratings, The Night Shift‘s chances of a fifth season seem unlikely. This season, ratings have been down for the NBC series and the network has not yet announced a renewal decision. So far, season four is averaging a 0.70 in the 18-49 demo and 4.178 million viewers. That’s a near 30% drop in the ratings from season three.
