Though these aren’t the same as orders for additional episodes to be produced, script orders are generally seen as a good sign and a vote of confidence. Some shows that get additional script orders still end up getting cancelled, like last year’s Emily Owens, MD.
Two episodes of The Originals and one of The Tomorrow People have aired thus far. They’ve done well by CW standards and are currently the network’s fourth and fifth most-watched shows of the season.
Reign was supposed to debut last night at 9pm but was wisely pushed to next week so as not to compete with Glee’s Cory Monteith tribute episode.
