The Penguin: HBO Max Releases First-Footage for Batman Spin-Off Series

The Penguin TV Show on HBO Max: canceled or renewed?

The Penguin is coming to HBO Max (soon to be rebranded as Max), and the streaming service has released the first footage for the series, which is spin-off of the latest Batman film – The Batman.  The premiere date for the eight-episode series will be announced later.

Starring Colin Farrell as Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot aka The Penguin, the series is set between the events of the first film and the upcoming second. In this version, the character is described as a mid-level mobster who’s got a touch of showmanship in him. He also dislikes being called Penguin. Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Deirdre O’Connell also star in the upcoming series.

HBO Max revealed more about the series in a press release.
