The Rosie Show: Donald Trump Applauds Cancellation

Donald Trump on Rosie cancellationSurprise, surprise. Donald Trump is cheering the decision to cancel the TV show of his longtime enemy, Rosie O’Donnell. In a phone interview on Fox and Friends, Trump gave his take on the recent OWN cancellation of The Rosie Show after five months on the air.

Trump said, “Well, I always knew that Oprah was smart. And frankly, that was just going to happen. I knew it immediately when they announced it. Rosie fails at everything. She had a variety show, it failed. I mean, I just don’t understand now, somebody else, some moron will come and hire her again to do something else but that will fail. At some point, let her rest, let her go away. She’ll never make it. And I’ve said it for years, she’ll never make it. She must have a very good agent.”

The star of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice also tweeted, “Rosie O’Donnell has failed again. Her ratings were abysmal and Oprah cancelled her on Friday night. When will media executives learn that Rosie just hasn’t got it.”

Their feud began in 2006 when O’Donnell accused Trump of using a scandal surrounding Miss USA Tara Conner to “generate publicity for [his] Miss USA Pageant” by announcing he was giving her a second chance.

On The View, O’Donnell commented that, due to Trump’s multiple marital affairs and questionable business bankruptcies, he was not a moral authority for young people in America. She stated, “Left the first wife, had an affair. Left the second wife, had an affair –- but he’s the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America!”
