Unsupervised: FX Animated Series to Return

Unsupervised returning on FXFX’s animated series Unsupervised is set to return on Thursday, December 6 at 11:30pm. It’ll follow back-to-back episodes of sitcom The League. The remaining episodes of Unsupervised are expected to air before the end of the year.

Back in September 2011, the cable channel ordered 13 episodes. The first 10 installments aired from January through March, paired with Archer. The last episode to air in March attracted just 510,000 viewers, compared to Archer’s 1.33 million viewers.

Despite garnering poor ratings, FX opted to order a second season of Unsupervised in late March. There’s no word on when they’ll air or how many installments have been ordered.

Unsupervised revolves around two 15-year-old best friends — Gary (Justin Long) and Joel (David Hornsby) — who try to do the right thing without parental supervision. The voice cast also includes Alexa Vega, Fred Armisen, Kaitlin Olson, Kristen Bell, Rob Rosell, and Romany Malco.

What do you think? Are you a fan of Unsupervised on FX? Are you glad to hear that it’s returning?
