What’s going on with Veronica Mars? Recently, Hulu boss Craig Erwich gave an update on the upcoming revival series, Deadline reports.
As reported earlier, the streaming service has ordered a limited series revival which will reunite the original cast of UPN/CW noir mystery drama. The show’s cast includes Kristen Bell, Percy Daggs III, Daran Norris, Jason Dohring, Dawnn Lewis, Patton Oswalt, Enrico Colantoni, Izabela Vidovic, Clifton Collins Jr, and David Starzyk.
During this year’s TCA winter press tour, Erwich revealed the Veronica Mars revival will feature a more mature Veronica:
“I think on Veronica Mars, Rob Thomas, who is the steward of the franchise, has really thread the needle from what I’ve read of the show and the scripts are excellent, is very true to the character and the world and the tone of the show, which is what made people fall in love with the show — but it is definitely an update. She is not a little girl anymore. You’ll see her dealing with contemporary issues in a contemporary world.”
The series is slated to debut on Hulu later this year.
