What’s This TV Show About?
Streaming on the Hulu paid subscription platform, season four of Veronica Mars stars Kristen Bell, Jason Dohring, and Enrico Colantoni with returning/recurring actors Percy Daggs III, Francis Capra, Ryan Hansen, Max Greenfield, Ken Marino, Daran Norris, David Starzyk, Adam Rose, Ryan Devlin, Julie Gonzalo, and James Jordan. New performers for the revival include Dawnn Lewis, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Patton Oswalt, Clifton Collins Jr., Izabela Vidovic, J. K. Simmons, Tyler Alvarez, and Mary McDonnell. Taking place years after the previous season, and “spring breakers” are getting murdered in the seaside town of Neptune, California and that’s killing the seaside town’s tourist industry. Mars Investigations is hired by the family of one of the victims to find their son’s killer and Veronica (Bell) is drawn into a mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites against the local working class.
As of May 20, 2024, Veronica Mars has not been cancelled or renewed for a fifth season. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Unless they decide to publicize viewership statistics, it is difficult to predict whether Hulu will cancel or renew Veronica Mars for season five. That being said, I suspect that it will be renewed and Hulu may have made a two year deal to start. For now, I’ll keep an eye on the trades and update this page with breaking developments.
