Last year, the Vida TV show was one of two half-hour dramas to premiere on Starz. Despite being the second lowest-rated TV series on the premium cable network, it wasn’t cancelled and is now back for a second season, which was released in full on the Starz app, three days prior to the season two debut. Since it was inspired by the Richard Villegas Jr. short story, Pour Vida, is there still more story left to tell? Will Vida be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
From creator Tanya Saracho, Vida stars Mishel Prada, Melissa Barrera, Ser Anzoategui, Carlos Miranda, Chelsea Rendon, Maria-Elena Laas, and Roberta Colindrez. The Starz TV series centers on two estranged Mexican-American sisters from the Eastside of Los Angeles. When tragedy brings them back together, Lyn (Barrera) and Emma (Prada) have to face the truth about their past, their mom, and themselves.
