Richard T. Jones (Judging Amy, currently Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) has been signed for the fourth picture in the Final Destination series. He’ll play a security guard whose wife is killed in a car accident. Others in the film include Krista Allen (What About Brian), Mykelti Williamson (Kidnapped), and Nick Zano (What I Like About You).

Fred Savage (Crumbs) will star in a CBS comedy pilot, created by Ricky Blitt (The Winner), entitled Single White Millionaire. Savage will play an unassuming thirty-something millionaire who’s ready to settle down.

James Remar (Jericho) has landed a role in David S. Goyer’s Unborn film. Others in the cast include Cam Gigandet (Jack & Bobby), Carla Gugino (Threshold), Idris Elba (The Wire), and Odette Yustman (South Beach, more recently October Road).

Christian Serratos (Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide) has joined the cast of Catherine Hardwicke’s Twilight film. It also features Michael Welch (Joan of Arcadia), Peter Facinelli (Six Feet Under), Nikki Reed (The O.C.), and Rachelle Lefevre (What About Brian).

Look for Gonzalo Menendez (Cane) in Fox Atomic’s upcoming 12 Rounds. Others in the picture include wrestler John Cena, Brian J. White (The Shield), Aidan Gillen (The Wire), and Steve Harris (The Practice).

Laz Alonso (One on One) will star in the fourth installment of The Fast and the Furious movies. He’ll play the employees of a druglord who also happens to be an intimidating street racer. John Ortiz (Clubhouse) is also in the cast.

Look for Eric Christian Olsen (The Loop), Danneel Harris (Joey, currently One Tree Hill), Jake Sandvig (Twenty Good Years), and Molly Sims (Las Vegas) in Screen Gems’ upcoming Fired Up movie. Directed by Will Gluck, the comedy follows two guys who sign up for cheerleaders’ camp to hook up with girls.

Candice Bergen (Murphy Brown, currently Boston Legal) will play the queen of wedding planners in the Bride Wars feature film. The romantic comedy revolves around best friends (Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway) who clash when they discover their weddings are scheduled for the same day.

Jason Bateman (Arrested Development) is returning to FOX, but in the director’s seat this time. He’s directing Upstairs/Downstairs, which is a sitcom pilot set at a trendy New York hotel. Reportedly, Bateman became the Directors Guild’s youngest member when he directed three episodes of Valerie as an 18-year-old in 1986.

JoAnna Garcia (Welcome to the Captain) has landed the lead role in How to Teach Filthy Rich Girls. In the CW pilot, she’ll star as a Yale-educated woman who’s hired as a live-in tutor to a pair of rich Palm Beach heiresses, played by Lucy Hale (Bionic Woman) and Ashley Newbrough (Radio Free Roscoe). Michael Cassidy (Hidden Palms) will play Garcia’s boyfriend.

Nora Dunn (Three Moons Over Milford) has been cast in The Dream of the Romans as a literary agent. Already committed to the film are Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls), Olivia Thirlby (Kidnapped), and Jeff Daniels. Stay tuned!
