Wynonna Earp: Season Two Renewal for Syfy Series

Wynonna Earp TV show on Syfy: season 1 premiere (canceled or renewed?)

Wynonna Earp will be back for more battles. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Syfy has renewed the series for a second season.

Based on the comic book by Beau Smith, the supernatural series stars Melanie Scrofano as Wynonna Earp, a descendant of Wyatt Earp who fights demons in the town of Purgatory. The cast also includes Dominique Provost-Chalkley, Tim Rozon, and Shamier Anderson.

During the show’s Comic-Con panel, it was announced Syfy has ordered a 10-episode second season of Wynonna Earp, which is due in 2017.

Season one of the series didn’t perform all that well in the ratings, earning an average of .13 in the 18-49 demo and 558,000 viewers. However, the show has garnered a loyal and vocal fan base.

What do you think? Are you a fan of Wynonna Earp? Are you glad it’s been renewed?
