20/20: ABC Renews News Program for 41st Season and the 2018-19 Season

20/20 isn’t leaving anytime soon. Today, ABC announced their Fall 2018 schedule and renewed the TV show for its 41st season.

Hosted by David Muir and Amy Robach, the long-running newsmagazine combines investigative news reports with human interest stories and other features. Correspondents include Juju Chang, John Quiñones, Deborah Roberts, Brian Ross, Diane Sawyer, and Jay Schadler.

20/20: A Look at the Ratings

20/20 has been a staple for ABC for decades now, so it seemed very unlikely that the network would cancel it. However, the ratings have dropped for the news series and season 40 proves that. So far, the season is averaging a 0.56 rating in the 18-49 demo and 2.92 million viewers.
For comparison, season 39 averaged a 0.83 rating in the 18-49 demo and 4.16 million viewers.

What do you think? Do you watch 20/20? How much longer should the series run?
