FOX had high hopes for 24: Legacy. The network released their 24 reboot series after the Super Bowl this February. However, the show’s first season has dragged in the ratings ever since. What do you think? Should 24: Legacy be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Would you watch?
An action drama, 24: Legacy stars Corey Hawkins as Eric Carter, an Army Ranger who becomes the target of a terrorist organization. The FOX cast also includes Miranda Otto, Jimmy Smits, Teddy Sears, Dan Bucatinsky, Anna Diop, Ashley Thomas, Charlie Hofheimer, Coral Pena, and Sheila Vand.
While 24: Legacy‘s post-Super Bowl premiere earned it a 6.10 rating in the 18-49 demo and 17.576 million viewers, the show’s ratings have been low ever since. Currently, the series is averaging a 1.52 rating in the 18-49 demo and 5.477 million viewers. Keep in mind, the averages have been skewed by the premiere’s high numbers.
Recently, FOX boss Dana Walden said she was disappointed in the ratings for 24: Legacy:
I’m a little sad because I feel like it’s a really good show. We’re doing about 7-8 million viewers over seven days per episode. It’s not terrible. We had really high hopes for the show. Perhaps our launch strategy was a little over-ambitious.”
What do you think? Do you like the 24: Legacy TV show? Do you think FOX should renew it for a second season? Would you watch more of this series?
