America’s Funniest Home Videos: Season 24 Ratings

As hard as it may be to believe, America’s Funniest Home Videos is going to be cancelled someday. It’s a cheap show to produce but the ratings have been dropping for years. Could this year be the end for the venerable program? We shall see.

A staple of Sunday nights for many years, America’s Funniest Home Videos and host Tom Bergeron present a wide variety of humorous viewer-submitted clips.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. Last year comparison: The 23rd season of America’s Funniest Home Videos averaged a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.47 million total viewers.
