Arrow: Fifth Season Renewal from The CW

Super news! Today, The CW announced they’ve renewed their superhero series, Arrow, for a fifth season.

The network has also renewed 10 other series for the 2016-2017 season, including The Flash and Jane the Virgin.

Based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow, Arrow stars Stephen Amell as billionaire playboy Oliver Queen, who becomes shipwrecked and returns home to fight for justice. Katie Cassidy, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Paul Blackthorne, Emily Bett Rickards, Manu Bennett, and John Barrowman also star.

The series is currently in its fourth season and still performing decently in the ratings, with an average of 2.664 million viewers per episode so far.

The season four finale of Arrow will air on May 25th at 8 p.m.

Other CW series renewals for next season include the following: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, The Originals, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, iZombie, Reign, Supernatural, The 100, and The Vampire Diaries.
