Atlanta: Season Three; 2022 Premiere Date Set for Donald Glover Series on FX

Atlanta TV Show on FX: canceled or renewed?

Atlanta finally has a premiere date for season three! FX has announced that the drama starring Donald Glover returns on March 24th. Due to production delays, Atlanta’s been off the air since 2018. However, we already know that season three won’t be the end.  The series received an early fourth season renewal in August 2019.

FX Entertainment president Eric Schrier said the following about the return of the series, per THR:

“We are thrilled to have Atlanta back with a new season on March 24. Once again, Donald Glover, the producers and stellar cast have delivered another signature season synonymous with the excellence that makes Atlanta so great.”

Seasons three and four were filmed back to back earlier this year. Viewers will see the action move to Europe for season three before returning back to Atlanta. The story “follows Earn (Glover), Paper Boi (Brian Tyree Henry), Darius (LaKeith Stanfield) and Van (Zazie Beetz) in the midst of a successful European tour, as they navigate their new surroundings as outsiders and struggle to adjust to the newfound success they had aspired to.”
