What’s This TV Show About?

Airing on the NBC television network, The Blacklist stars James Spader, Megan Boone, Diego Kattenhoff, Ryan Eggold, Harry Lennix, Amir Arison, Mozhan Marnò, and Hisham Tawfiq. The crime drama centers on one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives, Raymond “Red” Reddington (Spader). He offers to help the authorities, if rookie agent Elizabeth Keen (Boone) partners with him. In season five, Red is in the process of rebuilding his criminal empire with her at his side. Although she’s still working for the Feds, Liz finds the idea of indulging her criminal side rather tempting.
 

Season Five Ratings

The fifth season of The Blacklist averaged a 0.93 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.66 million total viewers. Compared to season four, that is down by 6% and up by 7%, respectively. Find out how The Blacklist stacks up against the other NBC TV shows.
 

 

Telly’s Take

Once upon a time, The Blacklist was a breakout drama on the Peacock Network. Since then, the ratings have really dropped, but it was renewed for a fifth installment. Meanwhile, its spin-off, The Blacklist: Redemption was cancelled after just one season. The ratings have remained pretty steady for this show so I believe The Blacklist will be renewed for season six.
