Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Season Six Ratings

Brooklyn Nine-Nine TV show on NBC: season 6 ratings (canceled or renewed?)

In spring of 2018, when the Brooklyn Nine-Nine TV show was cancelled by FOX, NBC picked it right up, despite its ratings decline on the other network. The pickup makes sense. The network’s parent company is a producer and will earn money when the show goes into syndication, plus, they want to stay in business with executive producer Michael Schur. Now that the sitcom has landed at the Peacock Network, will it draw a bigger audience and earn its keep, or is it just working toward the conclusion? Will Brooklyn Nine-Nine be cancelled or renewed for season seven? Stay tuned. **Status update, below.

An NBC police procedural comedy from creators Schur and Dan Goor, Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Stephanie Beatriz, Chelsea Peretti, Joel McKinnon Miller, and Dirk Blocker. The sitcom follows Detective Jake Peralta (Samberg) and the rest of the unique detectives and officers at the NYPD’s 99th Precinct.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

For comparisons: The fifth season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine on FOX averaged a 0.74 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.758 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
