What’s This TV Show About?

A semi-autobiographical HBO comedy, Curb Your Enthusiasm stars co-creator Larry David as a fictionalized version of himself. The cast also includes Jeff Garlin as Jeff, Susie Essman as Susie, J.B. Smoove as Leon, and Cheryl Hines as Cheryl, along with Richard Lewis, Bob Einstein, Ted Danson, and Mary Steenburgen.

In Curb Your Enthusiasm, season nine, Larry is pursuing a new venture. At first, he receives a lot of positive responses from potential investors, but that doesn’t continue for too long. Soon, the plan is waylaid by a series of mishaps. Katie Aselton, Elizabeth Banks, Ed Begley, Jr., Carrie Brownstein, Bryan Cranston, Lauren Graham, Jimmy Kimmel, Nick Offerman, Nasim Pedrad, Elizabeth Perkins, June Diane Raphael, Andrea Savage, Damon Wayans, Jr., Steven Weber, and Casey Wilson guest star in the ninth season.
 

Season Nine Ratings

The ninth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm averaged a 0.35 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.02 million viewers. Compared to season eight, way back in 2011, that’s down by 62% and down by 49%, respectively. Learn how Curb Your Enthusiasm stacks up against the other HBO TV shows.
 

 

Telly’s Take

Curb Your Enthusiasm had been off the air for many years so comparing the ratings for season eight and season nine doesn’t make sense. HBO is a premium cable channel so the company is more concerned with subscriber numbers anyway.
