NBC has introduced a new light-hearted series for December, Ellen’s Greatest Night of Giveaways. Will this feel-good series bring big ratings and become a holiday tradition on the peacock network? Will Ellen’s Greatest Night of Giveaways be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. *Status update below.

An NBC holiday series, Ellen’s Greatest Night of Giveaways is led by talk-show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres. On the show, DeGeneres and some of her celebrity friends deliver holiday cheer and big surprises to unsuspecting recipients in their homes, schools, workplaces and in DeGeneres’ studio audience. Everyday deserving people never see it coming as DeGeneres presents spectacular gifts and incredible prizes, with A-list stars in tow. Those joining DeGeneres in the first season are Michelle Obama, Jennifer Aniston, Justin Timberlake, Robert Downey Jr., Melissa McCarthy, Michael B. Jordan, Jason Momoa, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Teigen, and Steph and Ayesha Curry.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
