Is this really the end for Everything Sucks!? Despite being cancelled by Netflix, the cast and producers of the TV series are trying for a second season.
Set in the 1990s, the coming-of-age comedy centers on a group of teenagers living in Boring, Oregon. The cast includes Peyton Kennedy, Jahi Di’Allo Winston, Patch Darragh, Claudine Mboligikpelani Nako, Sydney Sweeney, Elijah Stevenson, Quinn Liebling, and Rio Mangini.
Earlier, we reported that Netflix has cancelled Everything Sucks! after one season. On social media, several members of the cast and crew posted farewell messages and encouraged fans to campaign for a renewal:
Like you I’m heartbroken but I’m grateful I got to portray this complex & important character. Broken, closeted Kate blossomed into a teen icon. Love from fans & critics is testament to the power of her unique voice. I admire you for raising your unique voices. #iamkatemessner pic.twitter.com/Y5liRBZqCt

It’s frustrating, but perhaps appropriate, that a show about a bunch of underdogs finds itself an underdog. If you root for those characters, and this show, please let everyone know: #RenewEverythingSucks
